Goss & Fentress also filed a $25 million lawsuit against a Detroit automaker for the rollover and defective seat belt.  A separate confidential settlement was reached with the automaker.

 

$614,000 – Won for a Chesapeake teenager.  As a passenger, the teen was ejected from a speeding pickup truck that crashed going around a sharp turn.

 

$500.000 - Jury Verdict - Chesapeake Jury awarded damages to a doctor for his injuries in an automobile accident. 

 

$350,000 – settlement for a child injured in an automobile accident.

 

$304,500 – recovered for an eight-year old Virginia Beach girl who was attacked by a Rottweiler.

 

$300,000 - won for Portsmouth woman severely injured in head on collision.

 

$230,000 – recovery for a Virginia Beach cross country truck driver against Federal Express.  Gross Settlement included lump sum worker's compensation award, waiver of medical ill/wage indemnification and bodily injury claim award against a negligent Federal Express driver.  Plaintiff was rear-ended in his truck by a Federal Express tractor trailer in Oregon.  

 

$205,000 – won for a Virginia Beach woman injured by a negligent forklift driver in a Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Martinsville, Virginia. 

 

$135,000 - won for an U.S. Navy man stationed aboard the USS George Washington, who was struck by a tractor-trailer in the Mid-Town Tunnel.      

 

$135,000 – won for a handicapped woman who suffered a broken leg while being transported in a Sentara Medical Transport vehicle.  Sentara’s employee failed to properly secure her wheelchair and she was seriously injured when the driver slammed on the brakes.

 

$125,000 – won for a Norfolk police officer that was injured in the line of duty while investigating an auto accident.

 

$100,000 – won for an Eastern Shore woman who was hit head on by a drunk driver.

 

$100,000 – won for a Portsmouth man injured in head-on collision.

 

$100,000 – won for Elizabeth City woman injured in a rear-end collision.
